Hurricane Resilience Through the Eyes of Public Officials2019-07-10T00:02:01-04:00

Welcome to our Hurrican Resilience survey website!

In May 2019, faculty and students in the School of Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech administered an online survey to local public officials in eight states. These officials included planners, administrators, emergency managers, public works officials, floodplain managers, and transportation staff. The questions in the survey focused on local resilience to hurricanes, and collected information to better understand how local officials view, practice, and plan for resiliency in their jurisdictions.
