CPAP Welcomes Two New Faculty

The faculty, staff, and students of the Center for Public Administration and Policy are delighted to welcome two new faculty members this fall, Drs. Sara Jordan and Susan Sterett.

Dr. Jordan is an assistant professor at the Blacksburg campus, and she is a scholar with interests in global and domestic governance of clinical research and R&D, the application of research ethics to policies and programs pertinent to Big Data governance and oversight, and ethics in public affairs. Dr. Jordan earned her Ph.D. in political science from Texas A&M University, and she worked previously at the University of Miami and the University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Sterett is a professor at the Alexandria campus, and she is the new director of the Metropolitan Institute. Dr. Sterett is a scholar of in law and social welfare, feminist theory, and sociolegal studies and disaster. She joins us after three years of service at the National Science Foundation and after serving as a professor at the University of Denver. Dr. Sterett’s Ph.D. is from the University of California at Berkeley.

Both Drs. Sterett and Jordan look forward to working with students across CPAP’s three locations.
